I'm back at it ...

Saturday and a great day it was (why do I talk like Yoda?) ... still not breaking my balls, but did the full monty ... in a small way ...

60 minutes on the bike ... up to low zone 2
30 minutes running at race pace
30 minutes of swimming easy to moderate

Nice to be moving again.

Didn't eat properly and had the most major carb-cravings at 20:00. A tube of salt-and-vinegar Pringles and 12 vanilla cupcakes later I felt better.

Tomorrow is another day. I will try to eat better. I will ride again. I will do a trail run with Kawal (and maybe Ruth)

That's it for now.

Running - 8 days in a row.

September 4 and 4 runs

Things are moving ... like my butt ... all 189 pounds of it ... less pizza ... more running ... great little 7k (40 min) on Sunday ... and a nice and easy 30 minutes this morning.

Tomorrow: 30 minute run ... 60 minute bike ... zone 1 ... fat burn :)

Dick leaves Dough-boy land

September 1 - Run number 1

Nice sunny morning; me and my running shoes head out for a nice easy run. I bring my new metronome with me ... set to 86 BPM. The idea is to run the "bridges" behind Parliament hill, across the Portage Bridge, past the Museum of Civilization and back over the Interprovincial Bridge.

This usually takes me about 36 minutes...with my metronome keeping my foot turnover nice and quick i do this in 34 minutes without much, well some, effort.

Let's see how many runs in a row I can do.
