I'm wondering, pondering, what to do next. I am solid in my decision not to participate in another IM branded race, but I do like the idea of pushing myself to new limits. I was poking around on twitter and found zentri.com. this dude did/does a self-supported ironman from his home in texas which got me thinking of doing a similar thing.
I don't know about you, but I for one, have thought that the Gatineau Park is a PRIME locale for an iron distance event: Meech swim, lots of bike loops, and a few run loops.
Something to consider.
I'm also toying with the idea of an ultramarathon; perhaps the Haliburton 100.

Dick in Doughboyland
Well, that previous posting was a little premature. I am solidly in doughboyland and weigh in at 206; the most ever. Not exactly pleased with the weight, but very pleased with how it was put on.
After IM USA I really needed to take a break, an Ironman sabbatical. I've hardly run, swam even less, and haven't been on my bike. I have been eating, and drinking, and going to restaurants, and staying up late, and traveling.
I've enjoyed every bit of it, but something happened a day or two ago. A thought popped into my head, "I can't wait to get back on my bike."

Good-bye Dough-boy Land
So, here I am ... a week after Ironman with my post-Ironman weight giggling on my mid-section. Such is life with no exercise and unbridled eating.
Got home from work. Hungry. Scarfed down a powerbar for some energy and fed the dog. After 30 minutes or so, I jumped on the treadmill and cranked out a 30 minute run.
